I have enjoyed millions of rounds of chemin de fer. I started working my way into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have bet on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a little while. Given all that I have still spent a lot of funds at chemin de fer. The casinos have made it very hard to beat the house.
I still enjoy the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have wagered on a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get flush with this method or defeat the house, still you will experience a lot of fun. This method is built on the idea that blackjack seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re hot your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I play basic strategy chemin de fer. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I win the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original amount.
I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your wagers go up very quickly. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome streaks a couple of times now. I left a $5 table at the Luxor a few years ago with $750 after 20 minutes using this technique! And a few weeks ago in Vegas I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be surprised at the runs you see playing this way. Here is a guide of what you would bet if you continue winning at a five dollar table.
Bet five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first $5 wager
Bet five dollar
Leave 5 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet $10
Take $10 paid to you, leave the initial 10 dollar bet
Wager ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Bet 20 dollar
Take $20 paid to you, leave the first $20 wager
Wager 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Bet $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 40 dollar bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar wager
Wager $80
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the original 160 dollar bet
If you left at this instance you would be up 315 dollar !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
